Welcome to The Painted Woman blog! We admire the Art Deco era, particularly the 1920s-1930s: films, fashions, cars, cocktails, music, architecture, and literature. We enjoy dressing in authentic 1930s style. We like surrounding ourselves with beautiful everyday objects from 1928-38. We began researching beauty and fashion of the 1930s because secondary sources on these subjects didn't provide the level of detail we required, and now wanted to share what we have learned with other lovers of vintage style!
